While researching who has passed away in May 2012 for an upcoming radio show, I was stunned to find out about the April 2012 stroke and May 11th death of longtime comic book artist Tony DeZuniga.

At the 2008 San Diego Comic Con, I was lucky enough to meet and spend time with “Mang Tony” and his wife Tina. They were gracious, so friendly, and it was a great pleasure to meet them.

My condolences to Tina, Tony’s children, and to the comic book community he loved and enriched.
